Service Promoting Off-Season Tourism
UnSeason is a service that is designed to promote off-season traveling and enhance the experience of travel.
This project is a part of Design Project II at the end of semester 5 .
What is does Travel mean to people ?
What is Off-Season Traveling ?
Off-Season is the time of the year where the least amount of tourist activity takes place, usually due to weather conditions.
Then WHO and WHY would anyone travel to a place in it's Off-Season ?
Youth Meetings Job
Youth - Young adults have budget and a bucket list, but unfortunately being a full time university student they do not get time to travel to the destination in its season.
Meetings - Often due to meetings or seminars people do travel to a destination in it's off-season for a short period of time.
Job - Sometimes workers are transferred to a city and it might turn out that they are there in its off season.
Stereotyping
There is stereotype in the travel and tourism industry and society that off-season travel generally leads to bad experiences and nothing useful comes out of it. It is believed that in off-seasons the destination looks bad or is closed.
After doing research, it was clear that people do travel off-season.
Then why does no one write about their experiences in off season?
Travellers don not write because the experiences are unique and due to the stereotype of how the place is not beautiful or dull in that particular time. As the off-season travels are not typical they are often not relatable to the tourist group.
But what if you have no other option and are in that city or closer to the destination you wanted to visit?
As off-season travelling is not promoted and it is difficult to find itinerary for such travels unless you know someone who has travelled in such conditions. This platform will help the users to plan out the vacations and will break the stereotypes of the travel seasons. It will bring people who travel often in off season closer and to promote off season travel.

This service primarily is for travellers, who are visiting in an off-season to the destination or are closer to the destination ton their bucket list.
